About the Temple & Our Mission

Sri Neelakandeswarar Trust was declared on 14th August 2023 by B. Omkumar, son of Balusamy, residing at No. 527 Main Road, Neikuppai, Thiruvidaimaruthur T.K., Thanjavur District – 609807. The primary and foremost objective of this Trust is to maintain, construct, renovate, and restore the Sri Neelakandeswarar Neelambigai Temple and to carry out all day-to-day activities of temple affairs. This sacred temple at Neikuppai, Thiruvidaimaruthur is the heart of our community and a place of faith for generations of devotees.

The Trust is registered at the Sub-Registrar Office, Kuthalam (Document No. R/Kuthalam/Book-4/16/2023) and holds PAN ABHTS5819F issued by the Income Tax Department, Government of India, with date of incorporation 14/08/2023. The Trust is irrevocable and its activities are restricted to Indian Territories. It shall not carry on any activity with the intention of earning profit, and the beneficiaries are not restricted to any particular religion, sex, or community.

Temple Renovation Objectives

As declared in the Trust Deed, the main temple-related objectives of Sri Neelakandeswarar Trust are:

  • To maintain the day-to-day activities and affairs of the Sri Neelakandeswarar Neelambigai Temple.
  • To construct and carry out renovation and restoration work in and around the temple and the village of Neikuppai.
  • To maintain and develop places of public utilities, gardens, and public places for the welfare of the public at large.
  • To take or receive any gift, whether moneys or property — movable or immovable — or donations in any form and to take steps for securing contributions to the funds of the Trust.
  • To contribute to or give aid to any Trust, Institution or Body which has similar objects, and to join with similar service organizations in fulfillment of the above objects.
