About the Educational Fund
Sri Neelakandeswarar Trust, declared on 14th August 2023 by B. Omkumar at No. 527 Main Road, Neikuppai, Thiruvidaimaruthur T.K., Thanjavur District – 609807, runs a dedicated Educational Fund to support students and scholars from underprivileged backgrounds. Educational Fund Objectives (As Per Trust Deed)
The following objectives are directly outlined in the Trust Deed registered at the Sub-Registrar Office, Kuthalam:
- To make pecuniary grants by way of scholarships, donations, and awards for the benefit of students and scholars.
- To provide assistance to the needy for pursuing education and training and for creating self-employment opportunities.
- To establish, takeover, maintain, run, subsidize, help, and make donations to educational and vocational institutions.
- To promote intellectual advancement and educational upliftment of all sections of society including differently-abled persons.
- To maintain reading rooms and libraries to support students and the public at large.
- To take or receive any gift — whether money, movable, or immovable property — or donations in any form to secure contributions toward the Educational Fund.
- To do or cause to be done any acts conducive to the social, moral, ethical, and cultural welfare of students and the community.
- To contribute to or give aid to any Trust, Institution, or Body with similar educational objectives and join with similar service organizations.
What the Educational Fund Supports
The Board of Trustees of Sri Neelakandeswarar Trust allocates the Educational Fund toward the following categories of support:
Scholarships
Direct financial grants to deserving students from underprivileged families to pursue school and higher education.
Vocational Training
Supporting skill development and vocational training programs that create self-employment opportunities for youth.
Awards & Recognition
Honouring outstanding students and scholars through awards and recognition to motivate academic excellence.
Institutional Donations
Contributions to educational and vocational institutions that serve students from Thiruvidaimaruthur and Thanjavur District.
Library & Reading Rooms
Funding reading rooms and library facilities to provide students and youth with access to learning resources.
Self-Employment Support
Assisting needy individuals with training and financial support to establish self-employment and achieve economic independence.

The Trust is administered by a Board of three Trustees. The Managing Trustee also serves as Chairman of the Board and holds the casting vote. The Board is reconstituted every two years.
